37th Vincenzo Mantovani Memorial

On Saturday 4 April, Castel d'Ario enjoyed another wonderful day of cycling. Over 140 riders, a 144 km race and plenty of excitement.
Manuel Dovesi (GoodShop Yoyogurt) was the first to cross the finish line, beating Parmigiani by 1‘ and Gardani by 2’ in the final stretch. The Under-23 Provincial Champion’s jersey went to Andrea Godizzi (Sissio Team) from Mantua.
As every year, the Memorial is not just a race: it is a moment we carry in our hearts. Before the start, a bouquet of flowers was laid on Vincenzo’s grave. Then came the race, beautiful and hard-fought, just as he would have wanted.
The day was made even more special by the presence of our ambassador, Daniele Bennati.
