Eleonora Ciabocco: to experience cycling, you have to dream big.

For years, Nalini has been closely following the exploits of the athletes, particularly Eleonora Ciabocco, who has been competing professionally for the Dutch team since 2023.

The interview we conducted reveals a little about Eleonora, starting with her passion for cycling, her legends, and her most important sporting memories.

Who or what inspired you to become passionate about cycling?
“I became passionate about cycling thanks to my siblings. I'm the youngest in the family: my brother is 26 and my sister is 31. When I was three, they were already practicing this sport, so I wanted to try it too. At first, I participated in gymkhanas, then at six I started competing in my first races. I've never stopped since!”

Who is your favorite champion?
“I grew up cheering on Michele Scarponi. As a child, I watched every one of his races on TV: for us from the Marche region, he was always a symbol, a strong rider, but above all, a cheerful and genuine person.
I was also lucky enough to meet him in Filottrano, during a gymkhana when I was a child: he was super helpful and kind to everyone. I still have a photo with him, and for me, it remains one of the fondest memories linked to cycling. Unfortunately, he left us too soon, but his example remains a point of reference for many of us.”

What race has particularly influenced you, both for better and for worse?
“The race that left the biggest mark on me this year was the Italian Championship. My whole family was there, and I didn't expect to be able to reach the overall podium. It was thrilling to wear the Italian Under 23 champion's jersey again: a great satisfaction and a moment I'll always cherish.”

A memory or anecdote you'd like to share?
“Definitely my first victory in the Under 23 category. I was competing with the boys, and winning was an incredible feeling. I wasn't expecting it, but that day made me realize that passion and determination can truly make a difference, even when you're the youngest or the only girl among the boys.”

When we say Nalini, what comes to mind?
“Quality, comfort, and Italian passion. Nalini is a brand that accompanies us every day, in all weather conditions and cycling for many hours . It's synonymous with attention to detail and care for those who truly love cycling. Wearing a Nalini garment means feeling part of a tradition built on experience, innovation, and love for this sport.”

What advice would you give to young girls starting out in cycling?
“My advice is to have fun and not be afraid to dream big. Cycling is a sport that teaches effort, but also freedom and the strength to believe in yourself. There will be difficult moments, but every ride will help you grow and discover something new about yourself. Cycling is a great school of life!”
