Nalini meets Romain Bardet

Let's meet Romani Bardet, DSM’s specialist climber and professional cyclist since 2012, to find out a bit more about his views on the Nalini kit and his next goals.

Is this your first time wearing Nalini gear? I've worn Nalini clothes before so I was familiar with the quality of the products. The fitting is very good and I feel very comfortable wearing the kit. I am satisfied because I received a pair of black rainproof bib shorts, which are very useful and a garment I’ve never received before.

What are your memories of the pro world related to Nalini? The first time I noticed the Nalini brand was when Cadel Evans wore it at Tour de France. So many great champions from around the world have been wearing Nalini for several years so it would be impossible not to notice and remember it.

What are your main goals for 2022? Two major tours this year: the overall standing and stage standings. The season is off to a good start even though I haven't been able to race in many races yet. 

What do you particularly like about our country? If I didn't live in France I would love to live in Italy. I love eating pasta with truffles and visiting the wine cellars in the Langhe. My parents and I used to take frequent family trips to Italy, so I have many fond memories of the past.

What's your first feedback about wearing our products? First of all, the great comfort. I trained at home at about 8 degrees and I felt very comfortable with the thermal jacket, warm to the right point, but also very breathable. The fit is perfect and not usual for a jacket.  

The suspenders provide more comfort than I have experienced before. It's as if I wasn't wearing them, while in other cases I felt them and they bothered me. The Nalini bib shorts follow the ergonomic shape of the rider and its suspenders must have a fit that leaves freedom of movement, it must not hold back or "weigh down".
