"We are expressing our appreciation for the man," said Giuseppe Bovo, Managing Director of Nalini, "who is more than just an impressive champion of the past, because he has managed to pick himself up and find his way, also thanks to the great passion for cycling that still animates him today. The ability to put himself back in the game and give life another chance is as important an achievement as any podium success".
The celebratory yet ultra-technical line consists of two jerseys and two shorts with the evocative names of Kaiser and Hero and sums up the very essence of Kaiser Jan.
"Given our decades-long relationship with Ullrich, who is very close to our company," says Enrico Zecchini, product developer at Nalini, "we have designed a line that represents him and focuses strongly on aerodynamics, because this is an athlete with very strong skills as a time trialist. The color details of the two jerseys are reminiscent of Ullrich's career, which is studded with so many victories: the bright pink band on the sleeves recalls the uniform of Deutsche Telekom, which later became T-Mobile; the yellow is a clear allusion to the 1997 Tour de France he won wearing Nalini, and the golden Kaiser jersey is a tribute to the royal crown and the victory at the 2000 Sydney Olympics".
The Jan Ullrich Capsule will be available for purchase on the official Nalini website from the beginning of June 2024.
